Your Print Orders

Printing brings it all together. It is the end-product of the pre-planning, image capture and individual post-production finishing for each image.  Think carefully about what you want from this art, a unique statement, to be beautifully bold, or elegantly subtle. An early mentor in my photographic learning once said to me, Ian, size does matter, BIG is BOLD, BIG is BEAUTIFUL. Carefully consider where you will hang this art, get some cardboard and cut it to rough size, is it really big enough, if not double it, sometimes you may need to double it again. Art that is too small for the space leads to disappointment, it can be avoided.

Fine Art Giclée Printing

Your chosen artworks will be printed by a specialist boutique photo lab renowned for printing superb images, precise colour reproduction trusted by artists in Australia and throughout the world. Our professional printing lab only uses the best papers with Epson colour pigment ink printers for enhanced colour accuracy producing unsurpassed colour depth. These inks/paper choices meet the most stringent archival standards, meaning your prints will last 75-100 years if cared for properly. All prints are finished with a white border and a subtle logo signature in the left-hand corner. (the online watermark is removed)

I have consciously chosen not to use standard lustre photo paper. I have chosen to create only high-quality fine art prints using the best quality archival materials (approx. 310 gsm), the same papers used in artworks at museums around the globe. I believe it provides a higher quality artwork with excellent tonal range and colour graduation, it also looks, and feels like “genuine” art paper. IMPORTANT – Handle with Care - please read

I only use 2 types of fine art paper, smoother for underwater, and a more textured finish for Landscape/seascapes.

Landscape/seascapes are printed on Hahnemuhle German Etching - 310gsm, 100% - Cellulose – Fibre Based

This traditional mould-made copperplate printing paper is probably the most popular textured paper worldwide for artwork and photography featuring a gentle, regular texture. Made from 100% alpha-cellulose it is characterised by its impressive colour, contrast, detail, and deep blacks. Slightly more textured finish than Photo Rag it exhibits an extraordinary velvety tactile feel, a fine clearly defined felt structure. The unique surface texture adds a very special touch to images, showcasing them in all their splendour with impressive three-dimensional effect and depth.

Underwater – are printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag - 308gsm – 100% Cotton – Fibre

Chosen by many renowned photographers to create high-quality fine art prints this smooth matte finish is the most popular fine art “Giclee” paper in the world. Its superb quality is loved by artists and galleries everywhere. It has a wonderfully soft feel, boasts a lightly defined felt structure, lending each artwork a three-dimensional appearance, excellent colours, and impressive pictorial depth.
